Pride BCN, also known as Gay Pride Barcelona, is the event organised every year in Barcelona to celebrate the International LGBTI+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, bisexual, intersexual, queer and other identities and orientations) Pride Day and most commonly referred to as Gay Pride Day.

Featured activities from the 2026 Gay Pride BCN Programme
Conferences, demonstrations, trade shows, parades, sports activities, family events and many other activities and events are organised during Gay Pride BCN.
Their main objective is to help give a voice and visibility to the demands of the LGBTI+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, bisexual, intersexual, queer and other identities and orientations), while trying to make the different existing realities known in this area. Here are some of the most important activities of the full programme.
Pride Village: proposals for Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June
The Village Pride, located on Carrer de Consell de Cent (at the intersection with Carrer de Villarroel and Carrer de Muntaner), will host some of the events included in this year’s Pride Barcelona programme

Tuesday 30 June
BCN Checkpoint and Centre Cívic Urgell present a special screening of the documentary Cashing Out, followed by a discussion focused on the early years of the HIV epidemic.
Friday 3 July
Arena Xperience will host Hablemos de Chuches, an artistic and community-based initiative that will open up dialogue on chemsex through drag humour, without stigma or judgement.
Sunday 5 July
Tiresias is organising a new edition of the Queers League at the Centre Esportiu Municipal Vila Olímpica, a space designed to promote inclusive sport and community participation.
Wednesday 8 July
Casa Àsia and Diàspores Asiàtiques Queer are joining forces for a round table discussion addressing migration experiences and the construction of identity.
Thursday 9 July
Cambra LGTBIQ+ de Catalunya is collaborating on a new edition of Think Plus, focused on reflecting on diversity and wellbeing in the workplace, and which will conclude with a concert by Doctor Prats.
Saturday 11 July
The already established Vermut Trans returns with a new edition dedicated to raising visibility and sharing experiences of trans and non-binary realities.
Tuesday 14 July
Ateneu Fort Pienc will host a special FIRE!! on Tour session, featuring the screening of short films from Casal Lambda.
Wednesday 15 July
Interseccionalitat sense fronteres is an international workshop aimed at building global networks for the defence of rights.
16, 17 and 18 July: demonstration, parade and closing events of Pride Barcelona 2026
From 16 to 18 July, the closing weekend of the Pride Barcelona 2026 celebrations will bring together the main events and, most likely, the most anticipated highlights of the programme.
Final speech and Pride parade Among all the events of the final Pride weekend in Barcelona, two stand out: the opening speech, which will take place on Saturday 18 July at Plaça de la Universitat, and the Pride parade, which departs from the same Plaça de la Universitat and will travel through various streets in the city centre before culminating at the Arc de Triomf de Barcelona.
Passeig Lluís Companys: Throughout the entire weekend, Passeig de Lluís Companys will also host various festive and activist events, completing a programme that combines celebration, visibility and advocacy in the heart of the city.

Barcelona, a Gay Friendly city
Barcelona has always been considered an open and pioneering city in many aspects and this is surely the reason why, in everything related to the rights and liberties of the Gay and LGBTI+ community, it is no exception. International LGBTI+ Pride Day in Sitges
If Barcelona is considered a Gay Friendly city, we could say that the coastal town of Sitges, a few kilometres from Barcelona, has been given the honorary title of the number one Gay Friendly city of Catalonia.
