This is the sixth edition of a Christmas event that began as a simple light show and, thanks to its great success, has grown and evolved into a must-see experience — the perfect place to enjoy the magic of Christmas with family, friends or a partner in our city.
Llums de Sant Pau is one of the Christmas Gardens — festive light displays that have been delighting visitors across several European cities for years, with Barcelona’s Sant Pau Modernist Site as the only venue in the city.
A special edition inspired by The Little Prince
The sixth edition of Els Llums de Sant Pau brings an exciting new feature: this year, the route becomes a themed experience inspired by The Little Prince, the famous character created by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
The Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site is transformed into a journey through the world of The Little Prince, combining light installations, large-scale projections, music and scenography. Along the way, you’ll also encounter characters, actors and puppets, as well as a range of interactive activities.
New features include an explorer’s passport with clues and stamps to discover during the visit, a short puppet show and a lamb projected onto one of Sant Pau’s façades. The ice rink is also back, integrated into this edition’s theme.
The route is available in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. There is also a food and drink area and an official shop selling products related to The Little Prince.
Without a doubt, Llums de Sant Pau has established itself as one of the best immersive experiences in Barcelona. It’s an excellent outing for families with children, but just as enjoyable with friends or as a couple. With its magical lighting inspired by the world of The Little Prince, it could also make for a particularly romantic experience.
Ice rink at Els Llums de Sant Pau
One of the new features this year is the return of the ice rink, which is once again part of the Els Llums de Sant Pau route after several years away. This time, the rink is part of the Little Prince theme, adding another activity to enjoy during your visit.
To go ice skating, you must have a general admission ticket for Els Llums de Sant Pau, as the rink cannot be visited separately. Access to the rink is available as an add-on during the booking process.
Skating sessions last 20 minutes for general admission ticket holders and 30 minutes for VIP ticket holders. The skating add-on costs €6 for visitors with a general admission ticket and €12 for those with a VIP ticket; the VIP option also includes gloves.
Gloves must be worn when skating. Children under 4 are not allowed on the rink, and children aged 4 to 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

The route through the Els Llums de Sant Pau light show, inspired by the world of The Little Prince, takes in several different areas and points of interest. Most of them are outdoors, while others are located inside some of the pavilions of the Sant Pau Modernist Site.

When is Llums de Sant Pau held?
The Christmas Garden at Llums de Sant Pau, inspired by The Little Prince, runs from 19 November 2026 to 10 January 2027.
To allow the Christmas light show to run alongside cultural visits to the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, Llums de Sant Pau is open from 6 pm to 11 pm. From 5 December to 7 January, it opens earlier, at 5.30 pm. In all cases, the last entry is at 9.30 pm.

Reduced-price tickets: these tickets are available to children and young people aged 3 to 17, visitors over 65, people with disabilities and one accompanying person.
Free tickets: children aged 0 to 2 can enter free of charge. A free ticket can be added when purchasing another ticket, except when the accompanying ticket is a reduced-price ticket for someone under 18.
Tickets for special dates: unlike previous editions, this year tickets for Els Llums de Sant Pau on key dates during the Christmas period — 25 December (Christmas Day), 26 December (St Stephen’s Day), 1 January (New Year’s Day) and 6 January (Three Kings’ Day) — are not more expensive. However, ticket prices have increased compared with the previous edition.

You can also buy tickets at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site ticket office on the afternoons when the event takes place. Prices are the same as online, although booking in advance is recommended to make sure tickets are available.

Under what circumstances can I request a ticket refund?
As a general rule, tickets are non-refundable. However, you may be able to change the date or time, subject to the conditions set by the organisers.
To do so, you must first purchase the replacement tickets and then contact the organisers by email more than 72 hours before the original visit date. In this case, a refund for the original tickets can be arranged, although booking fees are non-refundable.
Refunds may also be available if the show is cancelled or the event undergoes a substantial change, in accordance with the organisers’ terms and conditions.
Is there an ice rink at Els Llums de Sant Pau?
Yes. In the 2026 edition, Els Llums de Sant Pau once again features a real ice rink as part of the route.
Ice-skating tickets cannot be purchased separately: you must also have a general admission ticket for Els Llums de Sant Pau. As rink capacity is limited, booking in advance is recommended.
