Circuit Festival is probably the most important international gay event in the world. And promoters of parties, clubs, hotels, specialised stores and great international artists come together in order to offer the best leisure activities.
The creator and supporter of the project, which was first held in 2008 and which involves different points and stages in the city to avoid centralising everything in just one location, is the Matiné Group, which has always been related to the leisure sector directed and focused on a gay audience.
Information on the Circuit Festival Barcelona 2024
Every year the Circuit Festival grows in the number of proposals, activities and participants, most of which come from outside of Barcelona, from other cities in Spain or, above all, from the rest of Europe and the world. This has allowed the festival to become an ideal pretext to attract and promote gay tourism in Barcelona.

Organised over several days in August to take full advantage of the summer possibilities offered by the city of Barcelona (beaches, beach bars, swimming pools, terraces and outdoor events), Circuit Festival focuses exclusively on almost all variants of leisure, both day and night, and so sets itself apart from another of the most important gay events, the more activist and social Gay Pride BCN, which is held a few weeks before the International Day of LGBT Pride.

The best way to make the most of the different parties, events and leisure activities organised during the 10 days of the Circuit Festival is to buy the pass wristband. Depending on at what time of year you purchase it, the price varies, it being more convenient to buy it as early as possible.

If you are travelling to Barcelona with the aim of enjoying the Circuit Festival, your best option is to stay in one of the gay friendly hotels in the city of Barcelona affiliated with the Circuit.
Due to the large number of visitors to the event, who come from all over the world, many of the rooms of these hotels are usually booked up several days before the start of the festival, so it is best to book accommodation well in advance.
2024 Circuit Festival activities and spaces
The stages of the Circuit Festival where the different parties and events are held are spread out all over the city, mainly being clubs, bars and gay friendly hotels affiliated with the event.
Among the different activities, it is worth mentioning Water Park Day, scheduled for 10th August 2024 (to be confirmed) in the Illa Fantasia water park, which lasts all day and all night.
To get to the water park, located in the town of Vilassar de Dalt, as well as to be there until the different parties scheduled in different clubs and venues, the best option is to use the Circuit Bus.

Girlie Circuit Festival
The female answer to the Circuit Festival is the Girlie Circuit Festival and, as you have probably guessed, it is the city’s lesbian festival. Also organised by the Matiné Group, it does not last as long. This lesbian festival is usually held over some of the days when the Circuit Festival is scheduled.
