Former Casaramona Factory: the building housing CaixaForum Barcelona
It is the former Casaramona Factory, a modernist-style building designed by the Catalan architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch. A permanent exhibition on the factory’s restoration is one of the centre’s attractions, and if you are interested in learning even more about its history and development, guided group tours are offered by prior reservation.
Free access to the panoramic terrace
Access to the panoramic terrace of the former Casaramona Factory is free. Upon entering the building, you should turn left, where you will find the lift that takes you up to the terrace.
From the top of the terrace, you can admire both the views of part of Montjuïc Hill and the beautiful roof and part of the structure of the Casaramona Factory. In our view, it is something you simply must not miss.

Opening hours
From Monday to Sunday: From 10:00 to 20:00 (on Wednesdays in July and August until 23:00).
Reduced opening hours: 24 and 31 December and 5 January open until 18:00.
Closed: 25 December and 1 January.

Access to the exhibitions: €6.
How to get there?
Metro: España (lines 1 and 3).
Autobuses: lines 9, 13, 23, 27, 37, 46, 50, 65, 79, 91, 109, 150, 165, D20, H12, H16, V7 and Barcelona tourist bus.
On foot: it is located right at the base of Montjuïc Hill, so if you are in the area you can easily walk there.
