Barcelona is not just synonymous with museums, monuments, beaches, bars and restaurants, but actually with much more. In the city you will find all sorts of attractions and recreational activities, each of which has its own charm and target audience. In this section we therefore wanted to include a list of the most significant, and those that we think would be of greatest interest to you.

Types of activities and tourist attractions

One thing that we can reassure you of is that while you’re in Barcelona you’re not going to get bored! Whatever you’re looking for, you can choose from the huge amount of available tourist attractions, and can plan a schedule depending on how much time you have. Many of the best attractions are the city of Barcelona itself, such as Las Golondrinas (the boat company which provides trips round the harbour) or the Montjuïc Cable Car, whereas there are many others in towns near Barcelona, such as the well-known theme park of Port Aventura or that of Catalunya en Miniatura.
